BENEFITS

BENEFITS OF THE TRITOR SYSTEM

The TRITOR process uses the milling effect generated by steel balls that, thrown at very high speed against the particles, right away eliminate bacteria and foul odours, lowering considerably the Potential Dynamic Respirometric Index (PDRI) below the threshold 1000mgO2KgSWh, compared to the traditional decomposition cycles that require at least a period of 20-30 days.

And that is not all. Compared to traditional systems, the treatment with TRITOR technology presents remarkable benefits also in terms of operating costs and length of the treatment, as well as reduction of weight and volume, thus optimising the plant’s profitability.

Cost optimisation

Times are drastically shortened and costs for landfill disposal are reduced.

Reduced percolate

Production of percolate at the landfill is considerably reduced.

Reduced waste

Considerable reduction of production waste destined for landfill.

Turning point for the environment

Waste is transformed into
a powerful and ecological source of fuel.

SPECIFICALLY

ORGANIC FRACTION

  • Hygiene and stabilisation of the material with abatement of the Potential Dynamic Respirometric Index (PDRI) below the threshold 1000mgO2KgSWh, compared to the decomposition cycles that require typically a period of 20-30 days

  • Weight reduction due to reduced degree of wetness from 30 to 35%, compared to that at entry.

  • Volume reduction from 40 to 60% with output size <20 mm.

  • Shorter storage time of waste and greater efficiency for the MBT and composting plants.

DRY FRACTION

  • Production of SSF – End of Waste in compliance with UNI CEN 15359 standard.

  • Weight reduction from 15 to 20%, according to the degree of wetness.

  • Reduction up to 70% of the volume with size of the output <20 mm, thus less management costs for the MBT.
